A.O. Smith ProPlanet P8 RO Water Purifier

The ProPlanet P8 dispenses water at three temperatures: Ambient, Warm 45°C and Hot 80°C, from a stainless steel hot tank at the press of a button. Eight-stage purification combining 100% RO with Silver Charged Membrane Technology removes more than 95% of TDS, reduces heavy metals and eliminates bacteria, viruses, protozoa and cysts. The CFM + Alkaline filter fortifies water with copper and holds pH between 7 and 8.5. IAPMO-certified for a 5-Star water efficiency rating, it saves up to 9000 litres a year.*

*Hot water is dispensed at approximately 45°C (Warm) and 80°C (Hot). Actual temperature may vary with ambient conditions and dispensing volume. Hot water can cause scalding — keep out of reach of children.

*IAPMO certification is to the WPSC-01:2019 standard for point-of-use products, awarding a 5-star water efficiency rating based on≥50% recovery across a tested volume of 6000 litres. The rating pertains to water efficiency and applicable quality compliance for reverse osmosis technology.

*Water savings of up to 9000 litres annually are based on comparison with an ordinary RO water purifier under standard test conditions. Actual savings vary with input water quality, TDS, pressure, usage pattern and filter condition.

*Production rate, recovery percentage and TDS rejection depend on variable factors including feed water pressure, feed water characteristics, and the life and condition of the membranes and filters. Figures are as tested with input water TDS of 750 ppm (NaCl), pH 7.2 ± 0.2, water temperature 27 ± 2°C, turbidity below 0.2 NTU and feed pressure of 15 psi.

*Recommended feed water: TDS up to 2000 ppm, total hardness up to 500 ppm, turbidity up to 5 NTU, iron 0.3 ppm maximum, feed water temperature 5°C to 45°C. The system is not recommended where arsenic exceeds 0.1 mg/l or fluoride exceeds 8.0 mg/l.

*If input pressure exceeds 30 psi, a pressure reducing valve must be installed at the feed line; if pressure is lower than 7 psi, a booster pump is required. These must be purchased from an A. O. Smith Company Authorised Service Provider.

*Filters and RO membrane have an average service life of 6000 litres under standard test conditions and must be replaced when the filter change indicator blinks.
